Win*Star Express is a sophisticated, professional quality program that is exceptionally easy to use. In fact, nearly every tool you need to create and interpret a chart is listed in the 10 items below. If you need additional help or directions, simply press the F1 key for the Help Contents. Here you’ll find simple instructions for every tool in the program. Astro*Tutor (accessed from the Help File pull-down menu) will help novice astrologers quickly grasp basic astrological terms and concepts. Win*Star Express also gives you instant on-screen interpretations and an interpretation box (Ctrl+ I) to help you understand the charts you create. If you have purchased any Win*Star Express interpretive report writers you can open them by simply clicking on the reports button on the control panel.

1. Current Chart Information/Create a New Chart: Click the NEW button on the control panel or, also on the control panel click the arrow to the right of the chart title window to add a new chart or select a previously saved chart from your files.
   

2. Wheel Type: Click the appropriate button to create a single chart wheel, bi-wheel, tri-wheel or quad-wheel. Default positions are natal, transit, progress, and return charts.
   

3. Wheel Style: Select from four wheel styles: House, Unequal, European, Aries.
   

4. Toolbar Swap Charts: Exchange charts 1 and 2 within wheels.
   

   Center Aspects: Turn aspects on or off in center of wheel (aspects not visible in HouseWheel).
   Helio: Create Helio or Geocentric charts.
   Astro Clock: Access Astro*Clock . Calculations can be set from 1 second to 15 minutes.
   Aspects: Open aspect data window.
   Date Controls: Set dates for calculating transits, progressions or directions. Create Solar and Lunar returns.
   Scan: Open Time*Scan window. Shows transit/natal, progress/natal and directions/natal. You can display scans as a graph or a detailed list of data. Click and hold on glyphs in graph for interpretations. Highlight and click/hold on list to read interpretations.
   Data: Open detailed chart data window.
   

5. Chart Control: Select print, load Quick*Charts, save a chart, open a pop-up window for managing your files.
   

6. Interpretation Window: Open text interpretation of planet positions and aspects.
   

7. Reports: Allows direct access to any Win*Writer Express reports you own.
   

8. Point and Click: To access on-screen interpretations just click/hold on glyphs. Interpretations will pop-up and remain until you release your mouse button.
   

9. Chart Browse Window: Access and manage charts. Charts may be saved in a number of pre-named files, or create your own. See help for more details on saving and managing your charts.
   

10. Aspects Window: Sort and highlight aspects on one chart, or compare one chart to another. (This is a feature that professionals and novice astrologers really enjoy.)
