(In the ephemeris) you just highlight the date and click the "Wheel" button for an instant QWheel for that date. Because it's in its own window it can be enlarged for study and then re-sized and placed in a convenient desktop location. You can make a QWheel and close Time Tables, leaving the handy wheel open.
