Win*Star includes wide array of features. Since I use many electional and horary techniques in my private astrology practice there are some features I find myself using constantly. The Rectify feature on the Extra menu allows me to easily find the right electional chart for any purpose. Just have the proposed chart selected, click the Extra button and a Qwheel screen will pop up that allows you to change the time of the chart in hour, minute or second intervals. When you get a chart you think might work, you can then save it to Current Charts and use some of Win*Star's other features to determine the suitability of the chart. I always look at a chart in the Dataview section under Ptolemaic Dignities. This gives me a quick look at Essential and Accidental dignities as well as House Rulers and Almutens, Antiscia and Mutual Receptions. Also in Dataview is the Lilly Strengths page, which shows by bar graph the relative strengths of the planets according to William Lilly's point system for Essential and Accidental Dignities from his book "Christian Astrology." Dataview also allows you to sort aspects in the chart in many different ways, including by planet, type aspect and closest orbs. The DayScan module allows you to see the Moon's aspects throughout a three-day period as well as Void of Course times, Planetary Hours and Lunar Phases. These Win*Star features are great time savers for the working astrologer.
