Program:   Win*Star and Win*Star Plus

Win*Star Tips by Tom Goyett

Win*Star Tips :

One of the techniques made popular by Dane Rudhyar is the idea of planetary cycles. These are easily made as searches in Win*Star. Each of the planetary pairs can be created and then saved in its own file. First I'll talk about how to create these files and after that we can talk a little on how to use them. First thing that you would do is pick the planetary pair that you're interested in. For this example lets pick Jupiter and Saturn. I have included three screen shots from the Win*Star program. The first one is the selection screen for the planets. You'll notice that I have put both the planets in the search and target areas of the window. I have found that if you put them in the wrong order that the search does not always work, so to ensure success I just put both of the planets in the top and in the bottom.

[Selection Screen]

Next notice that all the x's have been removed from the stations and signs in the events boxes. You don't need those turned on for this search either. Lastly, look and see that there is an aspect set just called "conjunction" it's the one you should use so the number of hits in each of these searches will be reduced.

[Selection Screen #2]

The second screen shot is the first screen that comes up. In this one you just put in the two dates. In the example shown I have used from 1920 to 2000 and selected only the transit to transit search. Then when you select ok and the search begins you will see the third screen shot which is the result of the search. I have also selected the chart for the conjunction before my birth chart to show as an example of using quick wheels with the search module.

Now that you know how to make the cycle charts for each of the planetary pairs, you can just look at them and compare them to your natal chart. If you have planets that make aspects or are conjunct to the point in the cycle chart that may be important to you. Look at this technique carefully. It's a good way to get an idea of how your chart is just a moment of the unfolding of the cosmic dance of laya.

Hope you enjoy using this technique.
