Program: Win*Star and Win*Star Plus
Win*Star is such a powerful program that even months of use does not
reveal all its features. A handy one to consider using is the Clone button
found on the Home technique menu of Win*Star's main screen. If you click
on this it will copy whatever chart is currently being displayed. You can
resize this form or minimize it. Then, for example, if you want to use
Win*Star's Dataview to look for aspects, midpoints, trees or any other
information, you can have both this data and the chart wheel on the screen
at the same time. This is a handy way to analyze a chart on screen, with
both data and a wheel visible at once. You can clone several charts and
show them all on screen at the same time. Of course, the size and quality
of your monitor will affect the clarity of the images.
Another way to see up to four charts on screen at the same time is to
press the little button "1" next to the word "Chart"
on the upper left portion of the screen. Click it once and there are
spaces for two charts, again for three and again for four. You can drag
and drop any primary or derived chart in these slots. Then go to Window at
the top of your screen, click Show 4 selected charts and they will all
appear neatly on your screen. Using this number button is also the way to
create Composite and Relationship charts, as well as bi, tri or quad
wheels. These are great for analyzing couples and groups, as well as
having a natal chart with progressions, directions and transits displayed
around it in a quad wheel.
Have fun!
