Program: Win*Star and Win*Star
Plus
Win*Star Tips by Frank Piechoski
Since more and more astrologers are now using the Internet, many want
to be able to send entire charts electronically. The Publisher's Assistant
in Win*Star Plus is a great tool for sharing charts.
In Win*Star Plus, choose the Plus option from the main menu and open
Publisher's Assistant. The program will open with the last selected chart
and a number of options.
You can use the displayed chart form or choose another form or chart at
the left hand side of the window.
Once you've selected a chart, you can adjust its size in the lower left
hand corner of the window and then choose the "Save As" button
at the top of the window.
Once you have done this, a "Save As" window will pop up, and
you can name the file and choose the file format.
To change the file format, go to the lower left corner of the dialog
box and click on the down arrow to display a choice of formats.
A universal file format on the Internet is .GIF, Graphics Interchange
Format. You may also choose from several other popular formats.
Once the chart is saved as a .GIF, you can attach it to e-mail and
Usenet messages, send it via DCC on IRC, insert it in Web pages, etc.
Publisher's Assistant is a valuable tool for using your Win*Star Plus
charts in all kinds of electronic media.
